Why it pays to arrive with both
The resort sits at 2 Copper Drive in Kuleka, on the edge of Empangeni and off the R34. That is convenient once you are in Zululand, but Zululand is roughly 180 km north of Durban and a long haul from Gauteng. Discovering that your card limit is lower than you assumed, or that you brought less cash than the evening needed, is not a five-minute problem at that distance from home.
It is also worth keeping two budgets deliberately apart. Resort spending — a room, dinner, drinks at the bar — is predictable and suits a card. Gaming spending should be a fixed amount of cash decided before you arrive. Keeping them separate is the simplest way to know at the end of the night exactly what the evening cost, which matters more at a venue whose floor has no closing time.
